Industry and Technology Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır announced that the upper limits of support programs carried out by TÜBİTAK Technology and Innovation Support Programs Presidency (TEYDEB) have been increased.

1512-1812 BIGG Program Support Limit

In order for young people to turn their technology and innovation-oriented business ideas into value-added initiatives, the BIGG Program, which was initiated as a grant support, underwent a structural change this year and was transformed into an investment-based support. BIGG Program support upper limit increased from 450,000 TL to 900,000 TL.

1507 Support Program Limit

TÜBİTAK has not forgotten Small and Medium-sized enterprises either. The upper limit of the 1507-SME R&D Startup Support Program Project Budget, which SMEs use intensively at the entrance to TÜBİTAK R&D support processes, has increased from 1,200,000 TL to 2,400,000 TL.

1505 University-Industry Cooperation Program Limit

TÜBİTAK's 1505-University-Industry Cooperation Support Program Support Upper Limit, which is of great importance within the scope of transferring the knowledge from universities to industry and bringing them into commercial life, has also increased from 1,000,000 TL to 1,500,000 TL.

The new upper limits of the 1505, 1507 and 1512-1812 programs will also apply to projects whose application or evaluation process is still in progress.

Transfer payment (prepayment) limit by promissory note

There has been a more than 3 times increase in the Transfer (prepayment) Limit by Bill, which significantly facilitates the access to finance of institutions that carry out R&D projects by benefiting from TÜBİTAK supports. The upper limit of the transfer payment by promissory note (prepayment) was increased from 300,000 TL to 1,000,000 TL within the scope of the 1501, 1507, 1509 and 1511 support programs and the Innovation Support Program Implementation Principles Directive. It will be applied to projects whose project support period continues and whose term report has been submitted or will be submitted after July 1, 2023.

Increase in Limits Used in Some Other Programs and Support Process

Significant increases were achieved in 1602 Patent Support Program and 1503 Project Market Support Program limits and many other limits applied in support processes.

Minister Kacır pointed out the importance of increasing the support limits within the scope of TÜBİTAK TEYDEB and said, “We are increasing our support with the awareness that technology-based initiatives will serve as a locomotive in Turkey's achievement of its goals, in building the Turkish Century, and will lead innovation and transformation, and the production of original and innovative products. In this sense, as the Ministry of Industry and Technology, we will continue to pave the way for the entrepreneurship ecosystem.” said. “We are going through a period in which the global competitive environment is reshaped. The added value produced by a brilliant idea and the employment it creates can be the driving force of the economy. "We will continue to increase the human resources in the industry and to support industrial organizations," said Kacır. At the same time, we will continue to facilitate access to finance for organizations that carry out R&D projects. ” he emphasized.
